The idea for Jensen Skin was just a twinkle in owner McKayla J. Owen's eye for over ten years. Always drawn to and appreciative of the natural beauty in others, McKayla decided to open her business in 2023 to bring that passion to life.
Owner and professional esthetician McKayla Owen may be a Carolina girl turned Smithfield transplant, but Smithfield has truly become home. She loves her small town and the close-knit community it offers—especially the one she's built within Jensen Skin. McKayla is a strong supporter of all things local and cherishes her fellow small business owners. When she's not in the studio, you can often find her strolling down Main Street—and if you do, be sure to say hello!

Jensen Skin aims to be more than just an esthetics studio—it’s a lifestyle. A lifestyle that supports self-care, self-love, healthy skin, and balance. We’re all about getting in your daily steps and drinking enough water, but we also believe in enjoying a dirty martini afterward—that kind of balance. Aging is inevitable, but we can take meaningful steps to age gracefully.
Jensen Skin offers a range of services: non-invasive yet effective treatments that support your skin’s barrier and overall health. Our philosophy is simple—be kind to your skin. Life already throws plenty of stress our way, so why add more pressure to your skin’s delicate barrier? By using gentle, clean, and natural products and techniques, you'll leave with skin that feels calm, sculpted, hydrated, and glowing.
We use a variety of modalities to treat and soothe the skin, including LED infrared light therapy and Nano Infusion. These are paired with a mix of hot and cold tools, along with Jensen Skin’s signature facial massage techniques. The result? You’ll walk out feeling relaxed, refreshed, and renewed.
